Review Of 'The Waiting Place' by Eileen Button

This book really drew me in from the start particularly with the author's hilarious talk of herself!  It is a well written and interesting read where Button meanders through different experiences drawing life lessons and thoughts all around the topic of waiting.  I would definitely say it is heart warming and real as well.

Button delves into different areas where we 'wait' in life and brings the reader to understand that waiting really is just a part of life and we need to learn to embrace it and make the most out of it.  She writes of waiting for a sign, waiting for a miracle, waiting for the mail, waiting for the fish to bite among others and all are very relevant to all as things we all go through in life.

I like how she brought in Dr Seuss's book 'Oh the Places You'll Go' as that is one of my favourite books and I had forgotten that that book spoke of the waiting place too and how you'll get in a slump.  I found that encouraging alone.

If you like inspirational type books then you'll probably like this one!
