Review of 'A Shot of Faith To The Head' by Mitch Stokes

I really enjoyed this book.  It makes you think.  It is really practical and interesting all the way through,  really thought provoking stuff.  Stokes has divided the book into three parts.  The first part looks at the most fundamental objections to belief in God.  How atheists view religious belief as irrational because of lack of evidence that God exists.  Stokes pulls this one apart really well in dealing with that issue.  Part two and three look at objections to the existence of God and pulls them apart.

The goal of this book is to equip Christians to handle arguments and actually have the information to defend themselves and it really is successful at that I feel.  Providing in-depth historical information and quotes from experts in the relevant field, Stokes gives a well rounded argument in every area he addresses.

This is not a light afternoon read, it's fairly heavy going but so interesting it doesn't matter.
Definitely recommend this to any Christian who loves to think deeply about their faith.  Stokes will take you on a journey and provide you with a lot of valid information and arguments to defend your faith.
