Review of Bunny's First Spring by Sally Lloyd-Jones

A beautifully illustrated spring book! Has lots of spring words throughout and really sets the scene for children to understand how the seasons work from little bunny's birth through the seasons to his first birthday the following spring.  Very effective in conveying that.  There is a lot of repetition of phrasing which is always great for children's books too.

The story follows a bunny born in the spring and gives his perspective on the world of springtime and the new life and freshness.  It follows him into autumn and winter and how sad he feels that it seems the world is dying but then his joy once more when spring arrives and everything comes back to life once more.

I wouldn't say this book is a must have but it's certainly a nice addition to any library to teach the seasons.

Please note: Booklook sent me a copy of this book for my honest review. This review is entirely my own.
