Review of 'Pouch' by David Ezra Stein

A brightly colored hardcover book with a delightful story of a Joey and it's mother.  The Joey has been in his mother's pouch and is starting to venture out.  Whenever he gets scared, i.e. when he meets a bird, he shouts 'pouch' and jumps back to the safety of his mother's pouch.  This happens until he comes across another Joey who does the same. They become quick friends.  Really cute, original story.

My toddler loves it. Great repetition too.  Teaches courage and friendship.

We received this book as part of the Dolly Parton Imagination Library Program.
