Review of 'The Biggest Story' DVD and CD set by Kevin DeYoung and GIVEAWAY (now closed)

If you like the art on the covers of these - you are going to love this set!  It is a work of art.  Kevin DeYoung has written a paraphrase of the Bible from creation to Jesus resurrection that he narrates while the beautiful illustrations follow his words.  Sometimes the illustrations are abstract, to keep it visually interesting through parts you can't really illustrate or aren't appropriate for children.

I love the bright colors and style of the illustrations throughout.  The DVD and CD both come with a two-sided poster. They are different posters.  I'm thinking they would look great framed if I can get the folds out of them.

The DVD is only 26 minutes long and in my opinion it is great for any age to watch - not just children.  I like how it connects things together and just keeps to the main point without getting into too much detail -  which keep it concise.  It  features 10 chapters, each is 2-3 minutes long. As well as narration there is also music accompanying.

If you're wondering how they do the crucifixion scene - you just see the three crosses on hills amidst a city type scene.  I thought it very clever how they covered those types of scenes appropriately for young viewers.

The CD is the same as the DVD - so would be great to play in the car on a long ride, for example.  And if the two aren't enough - also included is a free digital copy you can download. An individual code is included.

This is probably the most beautifully depicted animated short film with the message of the Bible that I have ever come across and I would most definitely recommend it.
