Review of 'The Christmas Code' By O.S.Hawkins

My first observation on receiving this, to be completely honest, was disappointment.  This is so tiny and thin it really is like a pamphlet type book where I was expecting a normal size book.  That aside, the content is okay.  Nothing too new, however it does bring focus on different elements of christmas from a spiritual light - which is always good.  The devotions are very short with a scripture and a code word. The code word is bringing a focus to the reading for you to ponder throughout the day.

This would make a good christmas gift, if you are needing some small and inexpensive, yet meaningful.  It's nothing overly deep or new but still nice for a token gift.

Please note that I received a copy of this in exchange for my review, however all opinions expressed are entirely my own.

  1. My concern is in the first day’s reading. The last line at the end of the first page of Day 1 reads, “…you and I have been born again into His forever family.” My serious concern is that people who have not been born into His family will think they automatically are in His family after reading that. I think that is truly misleading, gives false assurance, and may take away any seeking they may have had if they think they are already right with God and “in His forever family.” I was misled that way for the first 40 years of my life and I am cautious about making a blanket statement like that.
