Review of 'Vegan Comfort Classics' by Lauren Toyota *UPDATED*

The first thing that impressed me is the size of this book.  At 10 by 7.5 inches, it's just a nice looking book and the cover and page design throughout are both really good - and make you want to dive into the recipes within even faster!

There are a great selection of recipes here covering brunches, finger foods, sides/salads, soups, sandwiches, noodles, mains, sweets and a large section that falls under the 'sauce' category.  Lauren is all ready well known by some for her Hot For Food blog and has quite a following, however this is my first encounter with her as I am not familiar with any of that.

These recipes are not just for vegans, there's definitely some recipes in there for non-vegans, but probably not enough to warrant purchasing it.  The photography throughout is amazing.

She includes recipes for the dressings and bases that she uses throughout the book in her recipes - things like the Coconut Bacon base that shows up in many recipes.  There are a lot of ingredients in the majority of these recipes.

Please note that I was sent a copy of this book in exchange for my review, however all opinions expressed are entirely my own.
