Review of 'NKJV Deluxe Readers Bible' Yellow/Gray Cloth over board by Thomas Nelson

This Bible is one of the most beautiful looking Bible's that I've seen!  The cloth cover and design is just so stylish and feels amazing.  It would definitely appeal to either male or female, but leans to more masculine in my opinion.  This would make a great gift for a guy. The case it slips into is a good addition to protect it also and feels durable.

Opening up, the endpapers are equally as beautiful with a 'This Bible Belongs To' name plate, a title page, contents page and small preface then straight into the 'Old Testament' title page.  The thing to note with the layout of this Bible is that the text goes all the way across the page, it isn't divided into columns like traditional Bibles are (or newspapers also do that).  This gives it a simplicity as it appears more like a novel.

Another thing to note about this Bible, that I haven't seen before, is that it has TWO marker ribbons! What a great idea!  It doesn't have maps, concordance, or any type of extra reference material - it literally ends at the end of Revelation.  The typeface used throughout is a special one created for Thomas Nelson that was inspired by Scotch Roman typefaces around the period of 1844.

In summary, this is a really stylish, well designed Bible.  I would definitely recommend it!

Please note that I was sent a copy of this Bible in exchange for review, however all opinions are entirely my own.
