Review of 'You Are - Speaking Gods Word Over Your Children' by Emily Assell. Illustrated by Lauren Copple

This is the sweetest little board book!  Lauren's illustrations are just delightful throughout.  The book opens to a 'Letter to parents' encouraging parents to speak out loud God's word over their children to claim this generation for the Lord.

Each page states scripture over the child for example the first page says:

Dearest one, you are a child and an heir of the most high God.  Then it will have the linked scripture in smaller print beneath.

Then to summarize the following pages:

You are the start of something new

You are chosen

You are free

You are gifted

You are an overcomer

You are the light of the whole world

You are a cherished gift, a delight

You are so loved

While just a small book, this book is precious!  The pages are very thick and sometimes you feel like you might be turning two pages at a time, not that that is a problem - just something I noticed.  I imagine that is probably a good thing making it more sturdier in little hands.

All I can say is highly recommend and bring on more of this type of book.  It's so important to know this and have this deep in our hearts from youth - to remember who we are in Christ so we have that firm foundation when the waves of the world buffet and test us.

Definitely recommend this!  Plus it appeals to me as an artist too - the illustrations are stunning works of art!
